Logo Lounge Book 15

Begun over 20 years ago, LogoLounge.com has amassed a member base of 20,000+ designers from 68 countries to become the definitive resource for logo designers everywhere.

Members find logo inspiration, research branding design, and earn awards in an enjoyable, ad-free environment. With unlimited logo uploads, unparalleled search capabilities, news updates, community, and more, it adds up to a hub like nowhere else.

Since 2010, I have been a member of LogoLounge, and have submitted over 100 logos. In that time, my work has been published in 9 different volumes, and over 20 logos have been featured in their annual publications, including work in their Master’s Series. This year, 5 of my logos were chosen for Book 15.

The LogoLounge Book 15 judges featured top design experts like Paula Scher (Pentagram) as Jury Chair, alongside Jacob Cass (Just Creative), Scott Fuller (The Studio Temporary), Katie + Ilana (Good Type), Jeremy Slagle (Slagle Design), Jack Chitty (Chittco), Gustavo Dao (Jkr Global), Bill Kenney (Focus Lab), and Cat How (How&How), with Markus Daum also involved, all selecting 3,000 logos from over 30,000 submissions.

Thank you to Bill Gardener, founder of LogoLounge for this opportunity each year. Thank you to this year’s judges for selecting some of my work. And thank you to my amazing clients for trusting me and allowing me the opportunity to help build their brands.

Design in my Community

Helping small businesses grow by using the gifts I have been given is truly an honor and an amazing experience. Whether it is a local business needing a refreshed brandmark, an at-home baker looking to make their mark by selling amazing cupcakes, or a small ministry developing a logo to help with their mission - these endeavors are why I do what I do.

Lately, I have been asked by several folks in my town of Lebanon, Ohio to assist with their marketing materials. I look forward to helping my community grow, even in the small way I can.

Recent work for small businesses like Cram Your Cakehole Bakery, Big Bear Capital, Ability Woodworks, and the Lebanon Athletic Boosters have helped the businesses in my town, and I am grateful for every opportunity.

The Next Generation of Design Students

Test exerpt

Back in 2014, I had the amazing opportunity to teach at the School of Advertising Art, or SAA. It was an incredible experience. one that I never thought I would pursue. But that time I spent as an instructor was rewarding beyond measure.

The design college rebranded shortly after that time, and is now known as The Modern College of Design. With over 40 years of excellence and worldwide recognition, the design college continues to build some of the best design students around. Graphic Design USA Magazine has recognized The Modern as one of the top design schools in the nation for over a decade.

I was recently asked to be part of the Program Advisory Committee, and I am eager to be part of this team. The Program Advisory Committee (PAC) is composed of industry professionals, alumni, and educators who review the programs, curriculum, facilities, equipment, and outcomes of The Modern annually. PAC members provide feedback to the college during an annual meeting based on their expertise. This feedback is then used to inform future decisions to move the college forward.

Since leaving my teaching position, I’ve had the opportunity to lead a global branding business, serve my community through design, and help to build and shape the creative team at Olberding Brand Family. I’ve been able to help launch brands, lead rebranding efforts for CPG companies, and recreate a creative culture.

I am excited to be part of The Modern again, to pass on what I have learned, and to give back to an industry that’s given so much to me.
